Beschreibung:

Große Blaublatt-Funkie. Syn. Hosta fortunei 'Robusta'. Blatt breit herzförmig, blaubereift, zwischen den Nerven runzelig. Blüte fast weiß. Wertvolle Blattschmuckstaude.
Large mound of thick, heavily corrugated, blue-green foliage; leaves 40 cm long by 28 cm wide (16-18 vein pairs); leaf color blue-green for the first six to eight weeks of the growing season, turning medium to dark green by midsummer; leaf blade broadly oblong-ovate with a deeply lobed base and short, distinct tip; leaves also slightly wavy and covered with a thick underside bloom; average mature mound size 70 cm high by 155 cm wide, but can be as large as 85 cm high by 190 cm wide; narrow funnel-shaped, near-white flowers, 5,7 cm long by 3,2 cm wide, produced from mid June into July in dense clusters on scapes up to 85 cm high, many flowers per scape (typically 50-65).
In the garden it can be used as a background plant, specimen or a ground cover, but it takes up to five years to maturity.
