Large, semi-upright mound of heavily rippled, dark green foliage; leaves 35 cm long by 25 cm wide (16 vp); leaf blade broadly oblong-ovate shaped with a deeply lobed base and long, thin tip that curls and twists; leaves also deeply veined, thick substanced, moderatly corrugated at maturity, and shiny on the underside; mound size averages 65-85 cm high by 130-150 cm wide; pale lavender flowers open in July on scapes up to 115 cm high; withish bracts subtend flowers.
